CONSTITUTION: At the time of elevating a pallet transfer device 10 in relation to pallet storage shelves 3 provided vertically in plural stages in a warehouse frame 1 so as to put pallets 5 in and out of the pallet storage shelves 3, the pallet transfer device 10 is engaged with the front side end part of the pallet 5 to pull out this pallet slightly, and then the pallet transfer device 10 is engaged with the slightly inner part of the pallet 5 to fully pull out the pallet 5.
