To suppress the noise efficiently by a method wherein the transit wind which hits the vehicle rear side part of a pantograph collector cover 11 is reduced as possible.

A pantograph collector cover 11 is composed of side walls 12 and 12 which are fixed to a roof 4 on both the sides of a pantograph collector 2 and a windproof covers 13 and 14 which are so provided on the front and rear sides of the pantograph collector 2 as to rise and fall freely. The base ends 13a and 14a of the windproof covers 13 and 14 are supported by the roof 4 with a support shaft 15. Pairs of panel operating means 17 and 17 are provided between the windproof covers 13 and 14 and the roof 4. The base ends of the cylinder bodies 18 of the respective panel operating means 17 are attached to the roof 4 and the tips of the push rods 19 of the respective panel operating means 17 are attached to the respective pantograph collector side surfaces of the windproof covers 13 and 14. When a railroad vehicle 3 runs in the direction of an arrow A, the windproof cover 13 on the front side of the vehicle 3 is made to rise with a required angle and the windproof cover 14 on the rear side of the vehicle 3 which is not necessary for windproofness is made to fall on the top surface of the roof 4.
