An underpants (10) for relieving urinary incontinence comprises: a front plate (12), back plate (14), crotch part (16), and an elastic band part (18) placed at upper edge of the front and back plates. The elastic band part is formed by a string (18a) inserted inside a bag-shaped part at the upper edge of the front and back plates. Preferably, the underpants also has a front tension portion placed at the front plate for pulling the crotch part to the upper direction; a back tension portion placed at the back plate for pulling the crotch part to the upper direction; and a side tension part placed at the boundary between the front plate and the back plate for pulling the crotch part to the upper side.
