To surely choose a paper feeding cassette for substitution between the same kind of paper sheets without changing a printer driver set in a host computer to drive a printer nor changing information inside the driver, and to eliminate complicated work such as supply of paper sheets and change of setting information.
Since the paper feeding cassette 48 can be substituted in a group only, which is set on the basis of a user's desirable classification, without changing a command from the host computer 2, printing on the same size and a different kind of material, which is unexpected by the user, is prevented to avoid waste. Since printing specification specified by the host computer 12 is the same with a current one, complicated work such as version up and setting change of the printer driver is eliminated.
