Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the vertical motion of a push-up plate in a tray so as to lengthen the machine life of sheet push-up mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A paper feeding device has a paper feeding device body D, paper feeding trays A, B, C mounted in the body D so as to accommodate sheets, sensors for detecting the presence of sheets in the trays, sheet push-up plates 4 provided at the bottom parts of the trays, drive mechanism 5 for lifting the push-up plates 4, and a driving control means 24 for actuating the drive mechanism 5 to lift the push-up plate 4 when there is a printing demand and there are sheets in the tray.
