PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of the separation action for the paper sheets and prevent the generation of a nonsent-out state, by the simple structure in which a paper sheet pressing is formed integrally on the rotary shaft of a paper feeding roller.
CONSTITUTION: A paper pressing 12 is formed integrally on the rotary shaft 9 of a paper feeding roller 8. When a small-sized paper sheet 3 is used, each loop which is formed on both the sides of the paper sheet 3 is pressed by the paper feeding roller 8 which is close to a separating hook 4, during the separation operation. As the size of the used paper sheet 4 increases more, the distance between the paper feeding roller 8 and the separating hook 4 increases more, and each loop formed on both the sides of the paper sheet 3 increases, and the increased state of the loop is restricted by the paper sheet pressing 12. Accordingly, independently of the size, the stiffness of the paper sheet 3 is kept within a proper range, and the separation action for the paper sheet 3 is accelerated. Further, each loop formed on both the sides of the paper sheet 3 is pushed out in the paper feeding direction by the revolution operation of the paper sheet pressing 12, and the generation of a nonsent-out state is prevented.
