PURPOSE: To easily carry out the proper recording by taking up a recording paper from a nearly cylindrical driving-out means and press-urging the shaft edge surface of the driving-out means and pulling-urging the recording paper in the reverse direction to the taking-up direction, thus preventing the excessive discharge due to inertia.

CONSTITUTION: The captioned device is equipped with a recording paper driving out part 120 which holds a recording paper as rolled recording paper 23, coil spring 127 for press-urging the flange 124 of the part 120 to an axis core, recording pulling-out means 140 which always urges the recording paper in the opposite direction to the taking-up direction, and a thin leaf spring 160 for press- urging the rolled recording paper 23. When the taking-up part is driven, the recording paper is pulled out, applied with brake, in the state where the brake power is balanced with the coil spring 127 and the thin leaf spring 160. Therefore, the excessive discharge by inertia is prevented, and the proper recording can be carried out without generating slack.
