A first carrying unit 20 composes a first carrying passage part 51 as part of the carrying passages 50, and it is movable in the direction of an arrow 61 perpendicular to the carrying passages 50. A cover door 40 and a partition part 11 compose a second carrying passage part 52, and the second carrying passage part 52 is adjacent to the first carrying passage part 51. A paper detecting and locking piece 17 detects if the paper PP over the first carrying passage part 51 and the second carrying passage part 52 exists or not, and when the paper PP exists, it prohibits move of the carrying unit 20, while otherwise allowing move of the carrying unit 20.
