To provide a paper sheet processor capable of safely operating open pocket work by interrupting power supply to a drive motor for driving a shutter mechanism and a pushing mechanism provided at the lower part of an accumulation cabinet when an open pocket door is opened.

When an open pocket for taking paper sheets P accumulated in a temporary cabinet 57b is opened in open pocket work, an opening/closing detection switch 57g is turned off, coil current of relays 57h and 57j are interrupted and power supply for driving a motor 57i for the pushing mechanism and a motor 57k for the shutter mechanism is interrupted. Thus, since the shutter mechanism or the pushing mechanism stops even during operation, danger such as pinch can be prevented. Further, when the open pocket door is closed to turn on the opening/closing detection switch 57g, the coil current of the relays 57h and 57j is returned to return the power supply of the motor 57k for the shutter mechanism and the motor 57i for the pushing mechanism.
