PURPOSE: To obtain the title product capable of stably retaining a clathrate compound formed in the interior or surface of the product using a chemical such as a perfume, insecticide, germicide or rust proof agent as a guest compound, by incorporating a host compound into a pulp and making paper.

CONSTITUTION: A host compound (preferably multimolecular compound, e.g., 1,1,6,6-tetraphenyl-2,4-hexadiyn-1,6-diol or 1,6-bis(2-chlorophenyl)-1,6- diphenylhexa-2,4-diyn-1,6-diol) is suspended into a water, preferably at an amount of 0.001-50wt.% based on a raw material pulp and the pulp containing the host compound is made into a paper according to a conventional method to provide the aimed product.
