Title:
PAPER MAKING PRESS FELT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003089990
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a paper-making press felt which has an excellent anti- rewetting effect without deteriorating a water-squeezing property.

This press felt 10 is obtained by integrally entangling a substrate 30, a butt layer 20, and an anti-rewetting layer 40 by a needle punching method. The anti-rewetting layer 40 has a three-dimensional structure opening 44 comprising an opening edge portion 42, a wet paper side opening 42a, and a roll side opening 42b, and the wet paper side opening 42a is larger formed than the roll side opening 42b. Under a nip-pressed state, water from wet paper W is transferred to the roll surface side through the opening 44 of the anti-rewetting layer 40. When the press felt 10 is released from the nip-pressed state, a rewetting phenomenon is caused, but water is transferred through the opening 44, because the roll side opening 42b is narrower formed than the wet paper side opening 42a.
