Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing apparatus capable of easily placing bills in the same top/reverse-side and leading/trailing-end state while suppressed from increasing in cost and size.SOLUTION: A bill processing apparatus performs: first payout processing in which bills having their leading/trailing ends in a first direction among bills fed out of storage parts 18B-18D are paid out to a payout opening 12 in the same top/reverse-side direction once having their top and reverse sides put in the same direction at a top/reverse-side arranging part 50 according to discrimination results of a discrimination part 16, and bills having their leading and trailing ends in a second direction opposite from the first direction are stacked at a stacking part 24 once having their top and reverse sides placed in the same direction at the top/reverse-side arranging part 50; and second payout processing in which the bills having their leading/trailing edges in the second direction are fed out of the stacking part 24 and then paid out to the payout opening 12 while having their top and reverse sides put in the same direction at the top/reverse-side arranging part 50 on the basis of the discrimination results of the discrimination part 16 after the first payout processing.
