PURPOSE: To facilitate the receipt and lump return of paper money by forming a temporary storage space by horizontally advancing and retreating a partitioning plate into the opened port part in each receipt part for receiving paper money onto a receiving board which moves vertically in a paper money receipt part for each kind.

CONSTITUTION: The first and second receipt parts 31 and 32 and a rejected paper money receipt part 33 are installed in a cashbox 15 inside a paper money receipt and delivery part 3, and the money receipt parts for each kind 34 W 35 are installed. The receipt part 31 is used for the supplement into the money receipt part for each kind, and the receipt part 32 is used for recovery. In each receipt part, paper moneies are accumulated onto a receiving board 3B which moves vertically. In each receipt part 31, 34 W 36, a temporary storage space is formed by introducing a partitioning plate 3C which shifts in the horizontal direction into the opened port part of the receipt part. A teller judges 9 the correctness and kind of the paper money which a customer supplies from a feeding port 6, from a feeding port 5, and introduces the paper money into the temporary storage space in each receipt part. When said supply is confirmed by the teller or the customer, the paper money is received by retreating the partitioning plate, while if said supply is not confirmed, paper money is discharged into a lump return port 4 or 13. Thus, receipt and lump return of the paper money is facilitated.
