PURPOSE: To decrease the paper powder to be transferred onto a photosensitive drum so that a sharp copy is obtd. by providing a curvature larger than the curvature in a transferring and separating part to transfer paper in a paper feeding and conveying path and recovering the generated paper powder in said position.

CONSTITUTION: A part 15 where the curvature is large (radius of curvature is small) is provided to a transfer paper feeding route 6 between a separating and conveying roller pair 7 and a resist roller pair 8 and a roller 16 in contact with the projecting side (transfer side) of the transfer part is provided to said part. More specifically, the curvature in the part 15 where the curvature is large is set larger than the curvature of the transferring part 2 and the curvature in the other part of the conveying path 6 and, therefore, the transfer paper 5 is bent at the large curvature in the direction where the transfer surface projects. The transfer surface is thereby elongated and the paper powder is brought onto the surface. On the other hand, a fluoroethylene layer of the roller 16 is held electrified by friction with a scraper 17 so that said layer attracts the paper powder electrostatically from the transfer paper. The paper powder which is attracted and adhered to the photosensitive body and is carried to a cleaning part is thereby decreased.
