This paper pulling device of the rotary press has one or more rotatably driven drag rollers 1, a pair of paper pressing-down rollers 2a and 2b, and a roller support 9 for rotatably supporting the paper pressing-down rollers by separating both outer peripheral surfaces by an interval smaller than an outer diameter of the drag rollers in a cross section perpendicular to the axis of the drag rollers, and is composed of paper pressing-down parts 11 arranged in one or more places in the shaft direction of the drag rollers, and paper pressing-down part individual roller pressing-down means 12 arranged so as to be rotatably connected around the axis parallel to the rotational axis of the paper pressing-down rollers to the roller support in response to the paper pressing-down parts, and having a single driving body 6 capable of moving the pair of paper pressing-down rollers between a pressing-down position and a retreat position via the roller support.
