PURPOSE: To eliminate a troublesome work for calculation from a remaining paper quantity and improve working efficiency by showing the remaining paper quantity stored in a magazine on a display part as the remaining number of sheets converted into specific sizes.
CONSTITUTION: In the system wherein a magazine is not exchanged, the inputting of an initial value at the time of setting a new paper loaded magazine 30 to a machine enables the calculation of a remaining paper quantity via deduction from a consumed quantity and the indication of a result therefrom as the remaining number of sheets on a display part 12. In the system wherein a magazine is exchanged, the inputting of an initial value at the time of setting the magazine 30 to the machine after loaded with new paper, enables detecting magazine type and shows a paper remnant in the magazine 30 as the remaining number of sheets, even when a different type of magazine is set. Also, for even paper of different sizes, the remaining number of specified size sheets is displayed. Therefore, a troublesome work conventionally pertaining to calculation from remaining sheets is eliminated and working efficiency can be improved.
