PURPOSE: To justify the position of recording paper accurately to prevent generation of a skew and thereby obtain a high-quality image without color shift by arranging a plurality of pinch rollers to be pressed against a recording paper in such a manner that the rollers are shifted from each other in the main scanning direction, and control ling the pressing force of each pinch roller using a pressure correction control unit.

CONSTITUTION: On the outlet side of a recording section, a capstan roller for paper drive 17 and pinch rollers 18 are arranged. A recording paper 16 is held between these pinch roller and capstan roller and moved back and forth in the sub-scanning direction by a friction force generated in a nipping section. Two pinch rollers 18 are arranged in the main scanning direction in such a manner that they are shifted from each other, and each pin roller 18 is arranged symmetrically at both right and left ends in the main scanning direction. Each pinch roller 18 is provided with a pres sure correction control unit 24 and each pressure correction control unit 24 is equipped with a magnet 24a which attracts and separates a housing 18a. The attractive force of each magnet 24a is adjusted by a control circuit, and consequently, the pressure force of the pinch roller 18 to be brought to recording paper 16 is controlled in response to recorded information.
