This paper sheet carrying device is provided with paper sheet guides 6a, 6b receiving a paper sheet 4 carried by feed side carrying roller pair 2a into a rotary body 7 without being bent, and the rotary body 7 is rotated by optional angle centering around the rotary axis 5 on the center point. The paper sheet 4 is not only discharged to discharge side paper sheet guides 62 arranged on the carrying route in the same direction as feed side paper sheet guides 61, but it can be discharged to the other discharge side paper sheet guides 63 arranged on a carrying route different from the feed side paper sheet guides 61. Hereby even in the case of a thick paper sheet without being bent, the carrying route can be freely changed.
