PURPOSE: To provide a paper sheet carrying device by which a jammed paper sheet can be simply removed outside of the device while preventing rupture of the paper sheet when a paper jam is caused over a boundary of a paper sheet carrying unit in an image forming device.
CONSTITUTION: Inlet roller pairs 1 to carry a paper sheet are arranged in the vicinity of an inlet of a paper sheet carrying passage 11, and an under side fixed roller guide member 2 and a rotary guide member 3 opposed to each other by sandwiching the paper sheet carrying passage 11 are arranged in the downstream in the paper sheet carrying direction. A jump part 12 projecting in a projection shape in an opposite position of the rotary guide member 3 and a paper sensor 13a to detect the rear end of the paper sheet in the vicintity of the inlet roller pairs l are arranged. The rotary guide member 3 is rotatably supported on a support shaft 10 in the downstream in the paper sheet carrying direction, and is energized to the fixed guide member 2 side by mass such as a weight 5. When a paper jam is caused, a carry is continued until the rear end of the paper sheet enters a paper sheet carrying unit, and the paper sheet is folded up between the rotary guide member 3 and the fixed guide member 2.
