Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect paper sheet conveyance (a paper sheet jam) while preventing a paper sheet from hitching.
CONSTITUTION: Cut-off parts 21, 21 for sprocket holes inclined to the direction of paper sheet conveyance are provided in respective tip parts which face a conveyance route of a paper sheet, of a light projecting part 12 and a light receiving part 15 of a photosensor 11. Further, sensor angle covering members 31 are attached to the light projecting part 12 and the light receiving part 15 of the photosensor 11 to prevent their respective tip parts 13, 16 facing the conveyance route from coming in contact with the sprocket holes of the paper sheet.
