PURPOSE: To feed the paper sheet without biting of burrs into the respective edges of a friction pad and increasing the frictional coefficient with the friction pad.

CONSTITUTION: A covering member 33 with low friction which prevents drawing- out of a paper sheet (S) to be fed from being interrupted by the friction with a friction pad 18 is provided to a pad holder 19 in a removable manner covering the upstream part of the friction pad 18 which is pushingly pressed against a paper sheet feeding roller 17. And a guide member to prevent the tip of the paper sheet (S) from being bit into the friction pad 18 is provided to the respective end sides of the friction pad 18 in a removable manner.
