The paper sheet processing device comprises a paper sheet receiving table 10A, a stapler 23 for binding a paper sheet bundle loaded on the paper sheet receiving table 10A, a discharge tray 22 for receiving and loading the paper sheet bundle discharged from the paper sheet receiving table 10A, a paper sheet conveying passage 7 for directly guiding the conveyed paper sheets to the discharge tray, and a controller. The controller converts the loading number of the paper sheets to be loaded on the discharge tray into the loading point, and counts the point; and counts the loading point corresponding to the non-binding mode and the binding mode, and performs the control so that the total of the loading point does not exceed the specified value of the total stacking point on the preset paper discharge tray.
