To provide a paper sheet processing device capable of enhancing the efficiency of binding work by a worker.
The paper sheet processing device includes a checking means, a counting means, a carrying means, a storing means, a calculating means, and a strip outputting means. The checking means checks paper sheets. The counting means counts the paper sheets. The carrying means carries the paper sheets. The storing means stores the paper sheets. The calculating means calculates a length of a strip binding a predetermined number of the paper sheets on the basis of information on the size of the paper sheets and information on the height of a bundle of the predetermined number of the paper sheets. The strip outputting means outputs the strip having the calculated length after a predetermined number of the paper sheets are stored in the storing means.
