The paper sheet removing device comprises a setting part 25 for selectively inputting one of a plurality of processing modes for paper sheets P, a memory 30 parameters of the supply speed of a supply part 1, the thrust of a delivery roller 9, and the separating force of a separating roller 21 in each of the processing modes input by the setting part 25, and a controller 29 for setting at least one parameter of the supply speed of the supply part 1, the thrust of the delivery roller 9 and the separating force of the separating roller 21 in accordance with the processing modes input by the setting part 25 and controlling the supply speed of the supply part 1, the thrust of the delivery roller 9 or the separating force of the separating roller 21 in accordance with the set parameter.
