To provide a paper sheet width aligning device capable of bringing a paper sheet being conveyed in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction.SOLUTION: A paper sheet width aligning device includes: a conveyance passage; a straight conveyance part that applies power in a conveyance direction along the conveyance passage to a paper sheet on the conveyance passage; a left skew conveyance part that is arranged in a left direction of the straight conveyance part and applies power to the paper sheet on the conveyance passage in a left oblique direction that is inclined in the left direction with respect to the conveyance direction; and a right skew conveyance part that is arranged in the right direction of the straight conveyance part and applies power to the paper sheet on the conveyance passage in a right oblique direction that is inclined in the right direction with respect to the conveyance direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
