Abstract:
To provide a sheet loader adapted to prevent jumping out of a sheet placed on a comb-like loading tray.SOLUTION: A sheet loader comprises: a comb-like sheet loading tray in which a comb tooth portion having a rod-like member and a comb-groove portion having an air gap are arranged alternately by horizontally arranging a plurality of rod-like members extending vertically to a discharge direction of a sheet and rectangular in section at a predetermined pitch; a discharge unit that discharges the sheet onto the sheet loading tray; a sheet-size acquiring unit that acquires a size of the sheet to be discharged from the discharge unit; a sheet-pressing unit that is provided on the sheet loading tray so as to regulate a sheet discharged on the sheet loading tray from moving downstream in the sheet-discharge direction; a first drive unit that moves the sheet-pressing unit along the sheet-discharge direction; a second drive unit that moves the sheet loading tray along a sheet-loading direction; and a control unit that controls the first and second drive units based on the sheet size acquired by the sheet-size acquiring unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
