To provide a parallel computer for achieving space saving and power source stabilization in the parallel computer including a plurality of CPUs on a single backplane.
The parallel computer includes three or more CPU segments including a CPU board on a single backplane. The CPU segments are divided into a plurality of power feeding areas respectively including two or less CPU segments. Power source connectors for feeding power to the CPU segment in each power feeding area are arranged on the backplane at every power feeding area. Then power is supplied to the respective power source connectors. The number of the CPU segments arranged on the single backplane can be increased without generating a limit in the backplane with respect to the power source capacity of the mounted boards, and breakdown voltage, and also without encountering a problem in the cost increase of the backplane. Besides, voltage is prevented from being lowered and unstabilized in each CPU segment, so that space saving and power source stabilization are achieved in the parallel computer.
