There is provided a parallel-flow dryer that includes a warming portion and a drying chamber, and blow warm air to foods placed in the drying chamber parallel. The warming portion is a box body having an air intake for taking outside air in, an electric heater warming outside air into warm air, a fan blowing the warm air, an air supply port for blowing the warm air into the drying chamber, and a suction port for circulation sucking the warm air in the warming portion from the drying chamber. The drying chamber includes an upstream-side chamber, a downstream-side chamber and a center drying chamber having a plurality of horizontal shelves, wherein the upstream-side chamber has a blowout port communicating with the air supply port, an upstream-side straightening portion which straightens the warm air parallel to the foods, and an upstream-side shelf receivers supporting the horizontal shelves, and the downstream-side chamber has an air supply port for circulation communicating with the warming portion, an exhaust port for exhausting the hot air, a downstream-side straightening portion which straitens the hot air parallel to the foods, and a downstream-side shelf receiver supporting the horizontal shelves.
