To provide a method for making a parameter setting for a laser beam machining head of an NC control three-dimensional laser beam machine by an accurate automatic measurement and the NC control three-dimensional laser beam machine.

The method for making the parameter setting for the five-axis- control laser beam machining head 15 of the NC control three-dimensional laser beam machine 1 is characterized as follows; the machine 1 has the head 15 provided with a measuring probe 27; the attitudes of the U-axis and V-axis of the head 15 are changed in order to form an origin measuring hole and an offset error measuring bole, respectively, in a flat plate material W by cutting and machining; the dimensions of the above measuring holes are measured by the measuring probe 27; the errors of the origins of the U-axis and V-axis are calculated so as to change parameter settings for the origins of the U-axis and V-axis; and an offset error is calculated in order to change an offset parameter setting.
