PURPOSE: To reduce the storage space by providing an elevating device for moving forward a bicycle with the rear wheel side held to lift up the front wheel side, and moving backward the same to lower the front wheel side, and storing the bicycle in an inclined state with the front wheel side raised.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of parking a bicycle 20, first the front wheel 21 of the bicycle 20 is rolled on a table 18 to be put in the groove of a guide 4 as a wheel holding means. Whereupon, simultaneously with the advance of the front wheel 21 into the guide 4, a catch 11 is operated to hold the front wheel 21. Subsequently, a switching lever 17 is pressed to put a guide lever 3 in the state of being turned upward, and in such a state, the bicycle 20 is pushed from back. Whereupon, the guide lever 3 is lightly turned counterclockwise about a support shaft 2 in co-operation with a balance weight 15 provided on the tip of the guide lever 3, so that the bicycle 20 is parked with the front wheel 21 lifted up. At the time of taking out the bicycle 20, the switching lever 17 is switched to be operated in the direction of moving backward the bicycle 20.
