Abstract:
To provide a parking support method and parking support device which allow a user to easily grasp the positional relationship between a travel route of a vehicle based on teaching travel and an object and a road around the vehicle.SOLUTION: A parking support method according to the present disclosure performing automatic travel of a vehicle on the basis of teaching travel by a driver comprises: a first acquisition step of acquiring a photographed image obtained by imaging the periphery of the vehicle during the teaching travel in time series together with the movement of the vehicle from an imaging device provided in the vehicle; a route recording step of recording the travel route of the vehicle in the teaching travel; a first expanded overhead image generation step of generating a first expanded overhead image in which a display object range including the travel route and the periphery of the travel route is overlooked from above on the basis of the photographed image; and a first display step of displaying the first expanded overhead image on a display part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
