Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an adequate target parking position restraining a self vehicle from protruding from a parking frame when the self vehicle is parked while securing distance from another vehicle parked in an adjacent position.SOLUTION: In a parking support method which supports parking when the self vehicle parks inside the parking frame, it presumes parkable space PS of a self vehicle A except occupied space by the other vehicle B which has been parking from a parking zone S already on the basis of space recognition information that the self vehicle A acquires at a runway R along the parking zone S. It extracts recognition information of a white line SL of the parking frame which the self vehicle A plans to park on the basis of image information that the self vehicle A acquires at the runway R along the parking zone S. It determines a target parking position Pt' on the basis of the parkable space PS and provides limit values L1 and L2 of a parking frame SF on the basis of the recognition information of the white line SL of the parking frame and then determines a target parking position Pt by adding position limit by the limit values L1 and L2 with respect to the determined target parking position Pt'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
