This part for a loom is composed of a material obtained by dispersing and arranging the second phase particles having hardness higher then a mother phase metal in the mother phase metal comprising an iron-based alloy such as an austenite-based stainless steel or a ferrite-based stainless steel materials. The second phase particles are, for example, compound particles precipitated and dispersed in the mother metal, or the compound particles particle-dispersed in the mother metal.
