Abstract:
PURPOSE: To employ the reduction method for a standard picture for this device by adding partial picture information to an address corresponding to a designated display area of a storage means corresponding to a reference area of a standard picture size and adding background information to areas corresponding to remaining areas, storing them and reducing them at a prescribed ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A reproduction means 2 reproduces and a recording means 7 records standard, partial, reduction picture data (Sd, Pd, Cd) whose number of picture elements are respectively 2,000,000, 500,000 and 30,000 recorded on an optical disk 1 based on a designation of a video address designation means 9. Frame memories (M) 1-3 of a storage means 9 have a storage capacity of Sd, and a storage address means 8 designates a Pd storage address for the M1 corresponding to a display area of the Pd designated by a display area designation means 3. Background partial picture data are stored in addresses of other area except the Pd in the M1. Thus, the picture Cd with a prescribed reduction ratio transferred between the Ms by a reduction means 6 is obtained by providing background with the standard reduction method at the M3.
