Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a partially carbonized wood product being excellent in handling properties, hardly causing a stain and maintaining a surface strength.
SOLUTION: A cube of wood being used, through holes H as hollows piercing a pair of opposite lateral sides in a set are provided in a row and in two sets of the lateral sides, like an equally spaced matrix, and the surface of each through hole H is carbonized, so that a carbonized part 1 be formed on the surface.
