Abstract:
To provide a lubricant for a recording medium holding excellent lubricity under various working conditions, and keeping lubrication effect, and capable of imparting excellent trafficability, abrasion resistance, durability and the like for a long time.
For example, a partially fluorinated alkyl compound such as C12H25N(C2H4OCOCH(C18H37)CH2COORf)2 or N(C2H4OCOCH(C18H37)CH2COORf (Rf is a saturated or unsaturated partially fluorinated alkyl group) is used as a lubricant for a magnetic recording medium.
