Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles comprising a benefit agent encapsulated by a first layer that is in turn encapsulated by a second material, and consumer products comprising such particles.SOLUTION: The particles comprise: a first layer comprising a material selected from a peracid as a benefit agent forming a core, a non-reducing polysaccharide, an acrylate derivative and mixtures thereof; and a second layer comprising a material selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate, cellulose acetate, poly(vinyl-alcohol-co-vinylacetate), acrylic acid-ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and mixtures thereof. Such particles are applied to consumer products, such as washing agents, together with other materials.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
