Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively and automatically perform a reset even when the position of a heel element is changed to a toe element in order to fit the fastener to the length of the bottom of a ski boot. CONSTITUTION: This ski binding has rear engaging members 1, 2 having levers 4 to which jaws 5 engaged with the heels of shoes are integrated. The rear engaging member is formed of a first body 2 slidably integrated into a base 7 firmly assembled to a ski and having the lever pivotally supported thereby. A first body has an inclined surface 14 connected through a first tube 15 fitted to a first regulating screw 16 rotatably integrated to the base, and one or more elements 10 having one end pivotally supported by the jaw and the other end slidably interacting with the inclined surface. The operation of the first screw is started from the state where the rear engaging means is released, and performed in conformation to the equal movement of both the inclined surface and the first body.
