Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate collection of particulate and lessen the capacity of heat source at the time of recombustion by furnishing inside the exhaust gas flowing chamber with a means to collect the particulate in the exhaust gas in a position apart from the peripheral edge of an exhaust gas deflecting means. CONSTITUTION:When passing the turbine wheel 5, the exhaust gas is given a moment of rotation round the axis l. Therefore exhaust gas, which has flowed into an exhaust gas flowing chamber 10 from the inlet 8, is deflected by the action of a deflector surface 901 in the direction parting from the axis l, and rotates at the same time to make dispersion toward the peripheral edge of a baffle plate 9. At this time, the exhaust gas is cast away in different mode according to its component weight-that is, components with more mass are brought away further from the baffle plate 9. Particulate is accumulated by and by at a ring-shaped filter 14. On the other hand, drive rollers 16, 17 slide this ring-shaped filter 14 intermittently along a rail groove 15 at a certain specified pitch, and an electrical heater 18 also continues to heat the filter 14.
