Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parting agent that is superior to close adherence with a casting die cavity and suitable for readily casting a cylindrical cast member with a low cost.
SOLUTION: The parting agent for the centrifugal casting die contains adhesive, an insulation-effective agent and a foaming ingredient. The parting agent is dissolved in a solvent to form a slurry having a specific viscosity so that a parting agent layer having a crater-shaped recess can be formed when applied to the inner surface of the integrated, centrifugal casting die.
