PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to use the device for long time without exchanging a filter cartridge and to enable to arrange it easily due to a simple constitution.
SOLUTION: Water in a pool P is pumped up with an engine pump 23 and returned to the pool P through a water stream pump 42. A suction force due to the water stream pump 42 is generated by this water flow and the water in a filtering room 30 is sucked from a water discharge port 30c and an air port 30d to be returned to the pool P. At this time, since supply of water from a water feed port 30a is stopped, filtered water in a water storage room 50 flows backward through a backwashing valve 51, a filtered water port 30b and a filtered water room 7, and permeats a hollow fiber membrane 4 backward to flow out to the filtering room 30. Namely the hollow fiber membrane 4 is backwashed. Then, the device can be used for long time without exchanging the filter cartridge, because back flowing and vacant washing are performed. Because a backwashing pump, etc., are not required to make addition, the constitution becomes simple and the cost can be reduced and this device can be arranged even in a small scale unit such as every each house in a multiple dwelling house.
