Title:
PARTS AND JIG FOR GAS CARBURIZING FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3667477
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain parts and a jig stably usable for a gas carburizing furnace in an environment is which thermal impact is severe for a long time by subjecting parts and a jig made of metals to calorizing treatment and forming an Al cementation layer in which the concn. of Al in the topmost surface layer lies in a specified range on the surface.
SOLUTION: Paits and a jig are subjected to calorizing treatment to form rigid parts and a jig in which the concn. of Al in the topmost surface layer is regulated to 10 to 50wt.% and hard to peel can be formed. In these parts and jig, the carburizing resistance thereof improves, and even if they are used for a gas carburizing furnace in a severe environment for a long time, and they are hardly carburized and are stable to remarkably prolong their service lives. As for the concn. of Al in the topmost surface layer, in the use, since the layer is thickened, and simultaneously, the concn. of Al reduces as Al slowly diffuses over the inside in the case of η10%, deterioration in the performances thereof is made swift, and sufficient durability can not be obtd. On the other hand, in the case of >50%, they are made too hard and are made brittle and cracked to facilitate the generation of peeling, and they can not withstand the practical use.
