PURPOSE: To suppress the influence of heating of an inverter in a machine chamber by providing the inverter device and an operation control device of a passanger conveyer separately.

CONSTITUTION: While devices are arranged separately when necessary to house them efficiently without extending the length of an upper machine chamber, the influence of heating of some device is prevented from giving the other device. Practically, an inverter device 25 and an operation control device 30 are separated, and the inverter device 25 with a heavier empty weight is provided at the lower side, while the operation control device 30 with a lighter weight is provided at the upper side, and both members are housed in the upper machine chamber 14. As a result, the inverter device 25 can be mounted without making the dimension larger, and the influence of the heat generated from the inverter device 25 can be prevented from giving to the operation control device 30.
