Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor achieving space saving for an installation width if two passenger conveyors are installed in parallel.
The passenger conveyor comprises two endless moving handrails 4, 4a installed in parallel, balustrades 5, 5a forming travelling paths for the moving handrails and a balustrade illumination for illuminating footsteps at the upper parts of the balustrades. An illumination for balustrade portions neighboring each other of two passenger conveyors is provided in a middle between the two passenger conveyors for securing the minimum width 7 required for installation and maintenance even if the neighboring balustrades 5, 5a approach each other.
