Abstract:
To properly control an operation according to the situation of users away from an entrance/exit.SOLUTION: In a passenger conveyor comprising at least one sensor strut 11 to which a user detection sensor 12 for detecting the presence/absence of users is attached, the sensor strut 11 is provided near an exit 6. The passenger conveyor comprises: an exit side camera 14 attached to the sensor strut 11 to take an image beyond the exit 6; and a controller for detecting a congestion degree beyond the exit 6 on the basis of imaging data of the exit side camera 14 and performing an operation control according to the detected congestion degree.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
