Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an accurately working closure mechanism for a discharge opening extending in an arbitrary direction of an upper casing portion in an metering pump, the closure mechanism comprising a small number of constituent parts that can be easily manufacture and assembled, and simultaneously form a dammed chamber having a volume as small as possible.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow guide body 23 protrudes into a hollow chamber of a hollow body 22 of an upper casing portion 4. Together with an inner wall defining a lateral restriction wall, the guide body restricts a paste dammed chamber 93 comprising a discharge opening 53. The paste dammed chamber is connected to a paste through passage of an intermediate wall 27 via at least one paste guide passage. Further, the guide body 23 comprises a spring elastic diagram wall 80 facing the discharge opening 53. The diagram wall has, at a central portion of its plane, a plug-like closure mechanism 82 for the discharge opening 53. The closure mechanism is coaxial with the discharge opening.
