To enable a patient to be given a physical checkup in a horizontal or in a vertical position with the help of a patient posture keeping table which can be used over as wide a range as possible of use applications and also can be fixed at every different angular position within the turning range of a table top.

This patient posture keeping table is made up of an base 1, a support member of an C arch type 4 pivotally supported on the base 1, a table top 5 arranged, in a freely movable manner, on the C-shaped arch which enables the elevation of the table top 5 to be changed, a motor drive device 18 for activating the C-shaped arch 4 and a motor drive device 19 which is arranged on the C-shaped arch 4 on an area where the table top 5 is pivotally supported to move the table top 5. The drive devices 18, 19 are interconnected so that the movement of the C-shaped arch 4 causes the table top 5 to follow up while keeping its position as it is.
