Abstract:
To provide a patrol support system capable of supporting efficient implementation of a patrol without using a vehicle or a device mounted thereon and improving effectiveness and efficiency of the patrol on the occurrence of a failure in a distribution line (power failure) due to a lightning strike in a manner that presents visual information linked to information on the lightning strike.SOLUTION: A patrol support system: identifies positions of lightning strikes, within a predetermined period before a time of the occurrence of a power failure as a reference time, by referring to a lightning information database; extracts electric poles existing in a set area based on the identified positions of the lightning strikes by referring to an electric pole information database; also extracts the electric poles existing in a power failure area identified with an automatic power distribution system by referring to the electric pole information database; narrows down the electric poles by identifying those existing commonly in the set area and in the power failure area; and visually identifies the positions of the narrowed electric poles and the lightning strikes with symbols arranged at corresponding locations on a map displayed on a screen of a portable terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
