PURPOSE: To always use a proper cloth holder and enable sewing work to be executed in good order by displaying a significant pattern accommodated to a fitted cloth holder, and by performing pattern selection only in case of the significant pattern.
CONSTITUTION: When the output of 'H' level signal to a significant pattern is generated from a cloth holder significant-pattern discriminating means 12, then first, the significant pattern lit only in case of a LED 3 according to the significant pattern is displayed. After that, when pressure is applied to the pattern selecting key 2 of the displayed significant pattern, then the (a) of input to an AND gate 4 is turned into 'L', and the (b) is turned into 'H', and its output (c) is turned into 'H', and pattern selection is performed. In the meantime, when signal from the cloth holder significant-pattern discriminating means 12 is not accommodated to a fitted cloth holder and is 'L' signal, then the LED 3 is not lit, but the (a) of the input to the AND gate 4 when pressure is applied to the pattern selecting key 2 of the pattern is turned into 'L' and the (b) is turned into 'L', and its output (c) is turned into 'L', and the pattern selection is not performed.
