PURPOSE: To obtain the subject film coping with the diversification of the development of commercial goods and having excellent handleability, flexibility, edibility and water-absorption by printing a transfer pattern on a polysaccharide film composed mainly of a water-soluble polysaccharide and a polyhydric alcohol.

CONSTITUTION: The objective film is produced by printing a transfer pattern on a polysaccharide film consisting of a composition composed mainly of a water-soluble polysaccharide such as sodium alginate, a polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol and glucose and water and having a water-content of ≤25wt.% and a polyhydric alcohol/water-soluble polysaccharide weight ratio of 2/0.2 to 1/1.
